About the Author

Sarah Dillard was briefly a Brownie and a Junior Scout. She fondly remembers making macaroni necklaces and, less fondly, one horrible camping trip when she had to eat the worst oatmeal ever. On the brighter side, Sarah studied art at Wheaton College and illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Some of her previous books include Perfectly Arugula and Extraordinary Warren. I took off a star because the books, particularly Book 1, was damaged upon delivery. It was raining out (surprise!), and the delivery person failed to put the box into a plastic bag or other protection. When I picked the box up from my front porch, it was soaked so that the tape had come unstuck and the box was actually gaping open. All 4 books were damp, but the #1 book was wet.
