About the Author
Bruce L. Petersen spent 28 years in pastoral ministry before accepting his present position as a professor of pastoral ministry at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He received his doctor of ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In addition to training students for future ministry, he is a frequent church and conference speaker.
EDWARD A. THOMAS is associate professor of management in Mount Vernon Nazarene University''s Adult and Graduate Studies programs. He is also an ordained pastor in the Church of the Nazarene and has had various assignments as both Senior and Associate Pastor in the denomination. Thomas has earned degrees from Olivet Nazarene University, Robert Morris University, and Capella University.
Bob Whitesel is a speaker, professor and award-winning writer on the organic church, missional leadership and church growth; who has been called by a national magazine: the key spokesperson on change theory in the church today. He holds two doctorates (D.Min. and Ph.D.) from Fuller Theological Seminary where he was awarded the Donald McGavran Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Church Growth. The author of nine books, his book Inside the Organic Church, Learning from 12 Emerging Congregations (Abingdon Press) was chosen by Outreach Magazine as a finalist for Resource of the Year in Postmodern Outreach.
