See more I hate to low rate this product, but from the video presented as demo of item, plus other pictures, they were perceived to be larger than what they actually are. The video and pictures presents the tools as being close to 1/2" to 9/16" thick. (12mm-14mm) They are not. They are 10mm-3/8" thick. You will need the larger size for turnings larger than 8" or out of hard woods. Another problem is that there is very little sizes listed in advertising on critical measurements. I did find carbide inserts sizes on another brand that looks exactly like the brand I bought. And to find replacements, is a huge chore of digging through sizes and brands all over the net....why not include a set in the suggested purchases section of the product page? I would have bought two sets already. HOWEVER, those issues being said, let me describe the tools from the actual performance. For SMALL set of carbide tools, they function very well... They are sharp, sturdy (on smaller wood pieces) cut like crazy, come in a very nice box/storage case, and are so very functional. I would recommend this set, but would remind buyer of size.
