From a performance standpoint, it does heat up pretty quick. The tips also make smooth lines, but it seems to lose its heat a little when you try to do long thick lines with the chisel tip. The problem with this product is that the head and the tips like to come loose while using it, and after awhile, the handle starts to get hot.

I think the temperature control is good and I REALLY love that it came with a bunch of stuff! I think it is a good kit for a beginner— with a few adjustments, it would be a fantastic kit!

*UPDATE*
