Loose the screw

Please loose the screw and quit about 0.16in.

Insert the wood burning tips

Insert the tips into the copper wire column for about 0.31in.

Tighten the screws

Please tighten the screws, or the tips won't get hot.

Check the screw is tightened

Please confirm the screw is tightened as the picture shows. Make sure to install the tips properly to avoid sparking.

After a few months of use with the replacement unit I found that the temperature is not consistent when set, handles get very hot with extended use, a screw on one handle will not tightan on wire tip.
