2. Rotate the alarm button as per the arrow direction to your needed(for example, if you need an alarm clock at 8:30, then set the alarm clock's pointer between the number 8 and the number 9.

Note:

1. The two buttons to set time and alarm are designed that way. Please don't mistake the special design for the sign that they're broken or of poor quality.

was for my living room where I needed a clock so that I could clearly see the time, a clock that has a retro look, one that keeps time accurately, and (especially important) one that uses a commonly available battery alkali battery, as some clocks on Amazon use the uncommon (and VERY difficult to find) carbon zinc battery only. An extra perk would be for it to have a second hand. I did not plan on using the alarm function, as I prefer a more accurate digital clock for that purpose, although sometimes I do set the alarm clock as a reminder of an event, or use the second hand to time things. This vintage-look, clock meets ALL of my requirements, and even has a second hand. It has a 4-inch face (excluding the frame) that is an aged ivory color. It has two sturdy little ball feet and a handle with which to carry it around. Setting the time and the alarm is self-explanatory and easy. The clock has no snooze alarm, but I don''t use the clock to wake me up. For those to whom the alarm matters, the alarm beep is very soft at first, but it both speeds up and becomes louder until it provides almost constant noise. These clocks also have a button you can push to briefly turn on a light so as to see the time in the dark. So far the clocks keep time perfectly. I believe the body of the clocks are (bronze-colored) plastic. For the price it looks great, I do have a quality look to my bedroom and it fits in. The alarm should be louder for me but i have poor hearing and i think for most it is fine. My travel clock ticks loudly and wakes me with a loud alarm. This one replaced it for at home use and is totally quiet says my wife.
