Found out after writing original review that the light function is no longer available on this. Therefore it is in perfect working condition. The only negative is sometimes it will tip over. Thought perhaps it would light the bottom or even inside the USB ports as many others do. I sent the unit back and I got the replacement so fast and all well packed and neat. Alas! No power light. The manual is obviously from a time that the device had a light. I read the listing carefully. Way in the bottom a very casual comment that the feature was removed as some complained being too bright! The solution should have been a dimmer light or even a switch to turn it of or very inexpensive cover. Needless to say I am disappointed. I checked with ebay listings and they have it with the light at the bottom.
The good news is the unit seems to work quite well and charge fairly fast. It would be nice to know what the maximum current per port. I assume it is 2.1 amp, but the tottal can not exceed 6 Amp.
