The name alone was the sole factor in what motivated me to select this wonderful men''s cologne to purchase out of many other choices of cologne, being completely unfamiliar with both the scent and brand until just a few minutes ago. In fact, I wasn''t sure if I was buying Tommy Hilfiger or Tommy Bahama, but after staring in the shower at the world map of places I had never been, and remembering the options for men''s cologne, I decided that I wanted to try St. Kitts on special days, and imagine myself being whisked away to a small remote Caribbean island that day when I wear this fragrance. It was a risk, to purchase a cologne I had never tried, but it was well worth it. I just opened the box and took a whiff, and it''s wonderful: both masculine and, in a way, tropical-seeming or warm. It''s attractive, or draws you in to it. I was very pleased with this purchase compared to my last men''s cologne that I bought on Amazon. If anyone has actually read this far into the review: although I go based on scent (and name apparently): some other factors I will point out in this purchase, is that the bottle is really nice. It''s shorter and wide, so it actually fits in one of the shelving units behind my bathroom mirror, and it''s a nice size for a cologne. I also found the bottle appealing and sophisticated, especially compared to a rather tacky one by comparison. What''s in a name? Well, naming a cologne after a real island and place in the world: as opposed to some nebulous virtue or adjective, has stimulated not only my olfactory sense, but my intellect.
