I am in my early 40s now, and I would say that my style is a little bit more mature, but I still like to wear sporty and comfortable clothes as well. That being said, I find the scent that this Tommy Bahama Cologne has is one that is more geared towards a more mature man. When I say that, I don''t want you to start picturing an old fart. I''m talking about a guy who looks good in a suit, and maybe a little bit salt and pepper. When I smell some of the more recent colognes passing through stores like Calvin Klein for example, I find them to be almost unisex. Appropriate for either women or men. This Tommy Bahama Cologne, is for men. I appreciate the floral and citrusy notes of it, and find it has a nice potency to last all day. I''m not somebody who likes to overdo colognes, so 1/2 spray is good enough for me. It''s just enough to know that I smell good, without making your eyes water. All in all, my experience has been extremely positive, and I absolutely love this cologne. It''s one that I will consider buying again when searching for my next bottle. I highly recommend it. What I particularly like is that this fragrance manages to avoid the apparent trend I''ve noticed in other fragrances toward a gender neutral approach. This cologne is unabashedly a masculine fragrance, which is somewhat refreshing these days. And fragrance is potent enough to last all day under ordinary circumstances.

The first thing you''ll notice are floral top notes. Some other reviews have mentioned citrus notes which I didn''t detect but I certainly detected lavender and violet notes. I was pleasantly surprised by more of a woody base. The bottle is also quite attractive and though the nautical theme doesn''t quite match my decor, it''s nothing I''d be ashamed of if anyone saw it sitting on my countertop.

It''s refined enough to be suitable for the office, but I think it''s particularly well-suited to spring or summer evening date nights. That''s not to say this is the kind of fragrance you''ll find young men wearing to nightclubs. It seems more appropriate for more mature men, though it still carries a bit of a casual or playful spirit.

Admittedly, the price is a bit on the high side, but I think the value easily matches the price and I''m happy to recommend it. The nautical theme continues from the packaging to the very handsome bottle. The bottle itself has a degree of heft. It''s very "present." It feels very weighty in all of the best ways. The wide nature of it seems very masculine and looks positively dashing on any bathroom vanity.

And the scent is stunning. Now, go light at first because it is a really concentrated fragrance. And, if you need a bit more, add a bit more. You will notice these big modern notes that just dry down into this enticing, complex fragrance. It is truly singular and beautiful.

I love the way this smells on my better-half. And, it has become his new full-time fragrance.

From the presentation, to the bottle, to the fragrance itself ... everything here is simply majestic. Wonderfully complex and modern in all the best ways. I do like the shackle at the top of the bottle for a true sailor style of cologne. The scent is strong, it is a bit spicy and I would not really recommend more than one spray as it can a bit potent. It harnesses vibes of the old Polo fragrance that you could smell from a distance, but this Maritime scent is more inviting than annoying. If you are a guy who is looking for a more mild scent, this is probably not the one for you, but if you want a signature, long lasting scent, this Maritime Triumph may just float your boat.

The 4.2 ounce bottle will last a very long time and is larger than most colognes'' largest size. This will easily last over year even using one spray a day. Helpful Report
