Looking around the reviews and the Q/A about this deck on Amazon and the rest of the internet, I found a lot of people claiming that there is no puzzle. I just want to say that there most assuredly is a puzzle, you just have to know a thing or two about ciphers to find it. To prove that the puzzle exists, I''m including a screenshot from a part of the puzzle (with any interesting/useful text covered, of course). Puzzle aside, the cards are really nice in their own right and I''m looking forward to playing games with them for quite some time.

I really like the design of the deck.
And that''s all.
1. I own other Theory 11 decks and these feel like they were coated with Teflon. Terrible handling for flourishes (unless you like "exploding" ones), awful for magic and just lousy for simply card playing. I think months of use with filthy ands might get them usable.
2. Just ignore the whole so-called "puzzle" hook. There IS no puzzle, just a couple of cards that make you *think* there''s one and some - not many - buyers discussing "hints" that are absurd (references to a 440 year old TV show that can only be seen in dim light - and don''t exist; reference''s to a magician''s "book" who wrote a dozen or more; talk about converting binary code to "English...and another to Russian.) and "winners" confirming there''s a puzzle and solution - yet NONE that offer to show proof; Almost NO mention of it at all by Theory 11 when it would be a great marketing tool if real.
I know a few people who became so frustrated they threw the deck away. I kept it only because it looks cool So if you like the artwork (oh - and it''s only on the *backs* - the fronts are booooring except for the Jokers and Ace of Spades.) and think it''s worth the money, buy it.
But if you are thinking about buying it because there''s a "puzzle" or think it would be a great deck for magic or just playing - pass.
PS - the box is marked "Courtesy of Neil Patrick Harris". What "courtesy"? A mean-spirited, nonexistent puzzle that''s obscurely promoted I don''t see as very "courteous." I see it as playing a trick on buyers. I guess some find it funny; maybe because a it''s a New York humor thing - which I usually find annoying.

The design is very elegant and shows his love for his interests, it is details and enjoyable to look at. The tuck itself is detailed and is so inside and out, but the back design varies slightly, from box to cards. Personally speaking, enjoyed the feel and stock of the cards. I prefer borderless as I have been doing less magic and more cardistry, but it''s not a big deal as there are things besides fans one can do.
It comes with a puzzle inside. Seeing as this deck was initially release 4 years ago, one no longer reveives the prize they used to give out for those who solved the puzzles. However, still fun to do and still a challenge. You will probably have to Google as there are absolutely no obvious hints provided by the deck itself. I had a blast doing the research and work and was worth reaching the end. This was given as a gift to me and I must say, I am not disappointed. Overall, I recommend the deck. Unless you don''t like borders, in which case, stay away from this deck. =)

I have never recieved so much entertainment or maybe ragertainment from any other puzzle/riddle/escape game I have ever played. There is absolutely a puzzle. The hardest step is seeing it. I''m going to put a starter spoiler at the bottom of the review but don''t read it unless you need as the false leads as what makes this a game. It took myself and my wife four months to figure this out, but we did finish it. We took many breaks, sometimes didn''t look at it for a week or two just trying to get calm and focused, find a new perspective on it. I totally understand people saying they became so frustrated they threw it out. It is that frustrating. Having the ability to look back, the solutions are strongly linked to the clues and it makes lots of sense. If you really want to beat this puzzle you can, it just might take a long time. We did solve the later steps much quicker as you start to get what it''s about. I think it took us three weeks to find the start of the puzzle but less than 30 minutes to finish the last step. So good luck. And that starter spoiler is below.
SPOILER BELOW
So that super awkward challenge card. It has a really good clue that gets buried in a google search. I read Cardano''s book trying to figure out how to start the puzzle and it turned out to be unnecessary, so, so unnecessary. But a search for cardano turns up so much content on math and cryptocurrency you can''t find what you need to see. Find out what a cardan grille is, that will get you started.

What a great handling deck. Theory 11 never disappoints with the quality of their decks and one designed with Neil Patrick Harris’ help is no different.
Definitely going into my rotation, love the feel and look, the identical jokers is great as it helps a ton with some of what I do.
The only negative is no doubt backed card, many Theory 11 cards have it and I expected them to include it here with how beautiful the backs are on these. But that’s easy enough to solve by just buying another deck and using the jokers.
The puzzles are extremely fun and challenging. If you ask for help on boards people will give clues but most wont give the answer. I needed a little help for number 3. But it will keep you entertained for a while.

Neil Patrick Harris has begun to really impress me with his devious games. Box One had to be one of the most enjoyable "escape room" type games out there and so, when I heard that his deck of cards had a mystery hidden inside it, I was motivated to purchase it as well.
First, the cards are beautiful if you enjoy that sort of thing.
A few of the cards form the basis of the internal mystery which will require a computer or internet device. Be warned : it is not an easy solve! I had to obtain a few clues from online sources and although the experience was online dominated, I did enjoy trying to work my way through it.
All I have to say to NPH is......More,more!

Along with all of his other impressive traits, Neil Patrick Harris proves himself to be a very SMART guy in his line of games! This card deck is absolutely one for someone who likes to do some DEEP thinking and since I''m not that kind of person, I had to hit YouTube for a clue just to get started! Don''t get me wrong - I''m no dummy - I''m just not Mensa level and while this game might not require that certification, I want to be clear that it really requires some intellect and out-of-the-box thinking. My hat is off to those who can finish this one - I have given it to my near-genius friend to work it out but she will give it back to me so that I can enjoy the beautiful cards and maybe one day have NPH sign the Ace of Spades ;)
