Outlets added to beds and the foundation as well as lines run for low voltage lighting. The first time I used the outlets, the GFI had been tripped. The "covers" for the outlets were old school pivoting caps for each outlet. They seal the outlet only when nothing is plugged in. I asked the electrician for a price on weather proof/resistant covers and it was more than I wanted to spend. So, I checked here on Amazon and liked what I saw in the reviews for this product. And.....the price was excellent. I initially ordered 5 (for the new outlets). It took me about a half hour (tops) to remove the original covers and replace them with these. Slowed only by the fact that I was doing it in the rain and slopping around in the mud. I''ve had a chance to actually use them now and I''m extremely pleased with them and highly recommend them. Lots of installation options and plenty of room inside to bend the plug wire and still have room to close the cover. We''ve had a ton of rain here in NY in the last month and I haven''t had the GFI trip once since the installations. I''ve since ordered and installed two more to cover my two original exteriors that came with the house. One of the tapped holes in the existing waterproof box was damaged and needed to be replaced, but due to the multiple mounting options, that was not necessary and I was able to finish the GFCI outlet installation without buying and installing a new box.
