While they are more expensive than the toys we used to purchase in years past, they are much more durable. This is especially apparent after purchasing a more pool specific toy brand this past summer and having to get rid of over half of those after only about 6 months of use (they became pancakes).
I do have quite a bit of the original 2015 toys left. Sadly, many of the fish have been discarded as the sponge inside eventually wore down but most of the fish lasted 2+ years. We have not had issues with mold, even with daily use and hours in the pool at a time. It also doesn''t hurt that all the kiddos love them. :)
