Drill A Hole

• Drill a hole with a diameter of about 3CM by hole opener.
• Screw fixing nut, the waterproof cover can also be removed.

Put the socket in

Connect

The bottom of this car charger are labeled with “+” and ”-” for positive and negative poles. Just connect “+” to battery positive pole, “-” to the negative pole.

The device arrived fairly quickly and was easy to install for me. i simply popped the cigarette lighter out and put this in as a direct replacement. Wires that came with it were all pre-terminated so it took me less than 10 minutes including the time it took to figure out how to get access to where i needed to work. Buy this gizmo if you want to do away with the plug in USB adapters for the cigarette lighter socket...thing...everybody uses for USB adapters anyway. Installation: Pretty simple if you know wiring basics or more. I This was installed in an extra cigarette lighter spot. The item fit great, a little snug that requires some light to mild pressure. I would consider that a good fit. There was a small tab on my vehicle (2008 ford ranger) that needed to be manipulated before this item could be install. The tab was cut with a couple passes of an carpenters knife. It took 30 seconds to cut. 30 second to push the item in and screw the back but on. Wiring took about 10-15mins. It took a little longer for me since I added a relay.

Final initial thoughts (1 week out): The lit display is bright, like dash on top brightness during the night type of bright. A little piercing. Using the cover is nice to diffuse the brightness. I read about the brightness on a review and knew about that before going in. The cover saves this.

Accuracy: I have another volt meter next to this, a plug-in light one. They are about 2 tenths different from each other. This item is a little slower to update/change with power usage change. I only got it to see if the alternator is charging or a dead battery and this item is good enough for that.

Over this is a slick looking piece and easy to install with in an old lighter socket.

I will update if any issues arise or some time in the future. It is a pet peeve of mine when an item advertised as quality fails quickly or semi-quick.
