Bleeds on softer woods and doesn’t do much of anything on harder woods, while it was easier to use than an actual wood burning kit, the effects are not great and for only a couple dollars more you can get an actual burning kit and save a bunch of time going back over it to try and get the desired effect before it just bleeds out and ruins your project.

I only drew something small as a test, but the pen is actually quite easy to use. You have to make sure the ink actually soaks in the tip before you start to write/draw. The tip is pretty durable and the pen is easy to hold. The instructions say to sand the wood first - I think this is to prevent the ink from bleeding. I didn''t have time to sand mine, but I actually didn''t mind how it turned out. You may actually want the edges blurred for artistic purposes. The heat source: using a heat gun is easiest. It probably allows you to control how much burn you want on the wood for shadows and 3D effect. I only had a clothing iron so I just placed it flat on. I tried shading by putting more or less ink in some areas - I definitely need more practice. Overall, pretty impressed!

Bleeds all over even with a stencil in place so you don’t get clean lines. Do not recommend, very disappointed. Didn’t give a good burnt effect to my wood either.

The burn marker doesn''t work as well as thay it does, you have to keep applying it at least 2 or 3 times for it to realy look like you used a wood burning tool.
I give it a thumbs down !
