I was really excited about this book after seeing Jonathan Becker interviewed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and some of his images were shown. I saved up for awhile to get this book but when I got it, I quickly glanced through it and to my surprise, none of the images really grabbed my attention. When I got The Here and Now: The Photography of Sam Jones and Vivian Maier: Street Photography, there were a lot of images in each book that made me stop and stare. I am hoping that the photos in 30 Years at Vanity Fair are a lot more subtle and need to be analyzed deeply but I haven''t opened the book since I got it in fear of finding out that I just wasted over $100 on a single book.

This monumental book of Jonathan Becker''s 30 years of photography in Vanity Fair is a brilliant 350-page compilation of stunning page-by-page revelations.
If you look forward to Jonathan''s work in the magazine, as I do, you know that he opens a window into an exclusive and rarified world.
Assembled together, these are not merely "pictures." They are great and lasting photographs that tell the story of our times.
