First off let me start by saying that I guess some folks have a different definition for "exact fit" when it comes to replacement parts. I opted for this fuel pump over the less expensive eerily similar pumps on Amazon only for the "exact fit". Turns out... See more First off let me start by saying that I guess some folks have a different definition for "exact fit" when it comes to replacement parts. I opted for this fuel pump over the less expensive eerily similar pumps on Amazon only for the "exact fit". Turns out that the box includes wire connectors (first warning) in case you have to cut and splice your old plug onto the new pump. I had to do this to aid with the "exact fit". Next after comparing the two pumps further (see photos) the inlet and outlet tubes were different lengths than the original (second warning). After using a file to enlarge one of the holes on the new pump so the existing bolt would fit through the opening (third warning) I began to install the new pump under my tractor. Low and behold the inlet and outlet tubes were smaller diameter than the old pump''s were and the hoses would slide off and leak fuel after clamping. Now a trip to the local Autozone later and new parts, hoses, and clamps I have completed the install and no more leaking fuel at my fuel pump. Tractor now runs but I am sure my lifetime warranty on the "exact fit" replacement Quantum fuel pump is void. Lesson learned. Buy the less expensive pump and save a few dollars, especially since you have to do the exact same modifications to this pump. 2 people found this helpful Helpful

I would not have spent the extra $30 for this pump had I read the reviews. Bottom line, it is not an exact fit and requires modification which were easy. However, they knew the plug was different and they sent the terminals. Assuming that they know the inlet and outlet fittings are smaller had they included the 2 clamps I would not be writing this review. My biggest frustration is that I was not able to finish the job without a trip to the parts store. Helpful
