He is 5 and I thought these would be amazing to have for him when he comes to visit or to send some home with him. The eggs take a little while to dissolve since they are fairly large but when they do the water has the tent of color that the egg is. The water did get pretty soapy with lots of foam or bubbles on top of the water, but I didn''t notice any particular scent or moisturizing effect from these bombs. I did not have any staining on the tub or bowl that he has used these in so far. It is fun for him to find the little prizes that end up floating to the top after all the egg has disappeared. The one thing that is worrisome though is the actual size of the dinosaurs in the eggs. I knew they were small from the pictures but in person they really are tiny, and that worries me that if a smaller child was left unattended with the toy, it could become a choking hazard. So please note that if you get this for someone that the parents or you keep an eye on the kids as they play with the prizes they get. Other than that these are super cute and a nice little gift to give to a special kid in your life. My teenager even thought it was cool to watch them fizz and dissolve in a bowl of water.
