The three main sections of the post are assembled with well designed flanges and bolts on one joint and the second joint is machine threaded perfectly. The glass lenses are beveled and thick. I was stunned at how nice this fixture is and will buy another pair very soon. If I was to criticize any factor it would be not having an access hatch to get at the wiring at the base, but that would also detract from the appearance, so that is a non-issue. It is best to dig a post hole, say 18" deep (the conduit should be that deep anyway) and a 3" foundation mounting pad on top with the pad bolts, all concrete filled. The cement-filled post hole will add stability to the pad in foul weather. Be sure you maintain a proper grounding wire throughout the fixture. I added a grounding rod at the power source and wired it to the fixture. Plan ahead; I also ran a conduit pipe exiting the light fixture through the concrete foundation to add more lights and a receptacle in the spring. 11 people found this helpful Helpful

Easy to install, all parts are there and the pole sections fit perfectly. I reused the exiting foundation from the old post and the bolt pattern was close enough. The base fit after some adjustment with a grinder and file. I added a light sensor, $8, in the head of the fixture so that it lights dusk to dawn. If you need a nice inexpensive 3 lamp post, this one is great. Helpful
