2 Month Update:
Well, after two months of checking temps and getting readings in the 98.x range, the kids went back to school and on day 3 started feeling under the weather. But no fever...or so I thought. Doctor took 3 temps, all 100.2. Home oral thermometer read 99.9. This piece of junk? Still reading 98.3. Three of us have temps, but we can’t get this thermometer to read it. I suppose if you want to send your kids to school sick, this is the thermometer for you. Not good enough for this beast, i guess. So, I went out and bought a bunch of Lithium AAAs. Let''s see how long they last against this energy vampire.
