ZWILLING USA
The Infatuation recently named our cocottes their favorite high-end Dutch oven. "It’s hard to single out one reason why we love Staub Dutch ovens," they begin. "If we had to choose, it might be the near-cylindrical shape, with steep walls and a big, flat cooking surface on the bottom. Or it could be the snug-fitting lid with stalactite-like peaks on the interior that promote continuous basting. There’s also the rock-solid construction and timeless aesthetic, both of which will encourage you to pass this fine piece of cookware along to future generations." We completely agree, and also would like to add that our cocottes require no seasoning and can be cleaned with soap and water.

I finally used my dish for the first time and the coating on the bottom and side came off while cooking I am very surprised by the quality as I expected this to be a good brand. Will keep an eye on return date and not wait to use items again.

Enamel is a thin layer, and not durable. I ordered 3 pieces, all 3 are horribly chipped after a few uses, and I am careful - hand wash, and use no metal utensils. Just bumping the pot while moving puts a chip in enamel.

ReportCM Burr1.0 out of 5 starsVerified PurchaseEnamel on the cooking surface chipped after minimal use.Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2018Color: Enameled Provencial BlueSize: 7 Qt Covered Casserole
After 5 uses, using only wooden utensils, microfiber cleaning cloths, and NO oven use the enamel inside on the bottom (read: cooking surface) chipped in the center. The attached pic shows the chip that we found while in the middle of cooking dinner. Extremely disappointing.

ReportRaimu II1.0 out of 5 starsVerified PurchaseLid does not seat on pot, rocks back and forth.Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2018Color: Red GradientSize: 7-Quart
Same issue as another recent review (for 5.5qt, matt grey oval casserole) - the lid is warped and does not sit well on pot. It rocks back and forth, will not seat. (Poor QC). Defective product, will have to return. Unfortunate, as it is very heavy.

I''m so disappointed with this pot, especially after America''s Test Kitchen''s recommendation of it as a "best buy." After three uses, big chunks of the outside enamel started falling off and those spots are now rusted. Cuisinart''s lifetime guarantee is worthless since it costs as much if not more for shipping and handling for a return than the pot is worth. I knew I should have stuck with Le Creuset! A lot more expensive but definitely worth it.

I couldn''t justify spending $500 on the top of the line so i did some research and this pot had great reviews and i generally like Cusinart products. I was not disappointed. The ceramic coating inside is very durable and the finish on the outside looks great. It is not as thick as the higher end brands but that makes it lighter and really i don''t think the heat dissipation is any worse. I also like the shape, its wider and not as tall as other pots but thats a good thing. Of course the best part is the price, less than half price of the high end pots. This is definitely the best value out there, highly recommend this pot.13 people found this helpfulReportA B5.0 out of 5 starsVerified PurchaseGreat value for money!Reviewed in Canada on July 8, 2020
