I have used these in the past and they add so much ambiance to a yard. I use small shepards hooks and hang these from them along the pathway. Whats great is I can use them in my backyard around the pool when the party is over. They are very simple to use. You pull the tab off the battery and click on and they thrn on immediately. You then unwind the wire to dangle inside a mason jar or colored glass (not included). Update: these lights stopped working, conveniently a week after the return window ended :( I tried putting the jars in direct sunlight all day but they only stay lit for 20 minutes max (some not at all.) super disappointing

Update update: Sooooo, months after posting this review the shop owner contacted me. I honestly was not expecting anything to come from it and was surprised when I got the message! The shop owner not only refunded me but sent me a new set of lights (which now come with jars!) as a way to make amends. I tested the new lights for a little over a week before updating my review and all eight are in perfect working condition… AND areabsolutely beautiful!! Check out the updated pics I posted to see for yourself. So happy to have these back in my home. I will note for those interested in purchasing- they need A LOT of direct sun to charge. Even if it’s cloudy just one day they will not work that night. So, make sure you have a sunny spot to put them prior to purchase! I wasn''t expecting these to light up the tables but they actually did. What I love about these lights is I''m given the option of either hanging these or I can just have them sit on tables. The solar panel on top is easy to wipe clean and once they get a full charge, these lights really do lighten up an area. I left these out recently and we got some randomly heavy rainfall. Even with all of the rain, these lights still work. Even with the metal hangers on these jars, they are not rusting or even starting to rust either. They definitely give off the fireflies in a jar feeling but when it comes to lighting areas, they really do a great job. I like the rechargeable AAA bats they come with. If you''re buying these during the winter months or you have limitedsunlight, I highly recommend you give them a charge first. I charged all 8 back in December and I haven''t had to do it again.
I waited a few months to see how they would hold up and they''re doing good. It rained and just like any other Mason jar, it stayed sealed and dry. I reccomend this product. Helpful Report
