See more Packaged in a nice box and all outlets and cover plates were individually wrapped. Says its for standard outlets, but the quick connect on the back does not accept standard 12GA romex, so you have to strip and twist to attach to the side screws. There are only 2 sets of screws, not the standard 4, so these can not be used for more than 1 additional connection. The screws that attach the cover plates are flat bottomed, so they do not recess into the plate and they are not the same threads in the outlet. As soon as you start to turn hard on the screw to get it to start, the paint comes off leaving a poor overall final look. Shop elsewhere for better quality. The screws and holes all lined up great, for an easy installation into a standard electrical box. However there were other issues with these.
For one, the picture shows the outlets with standard wall plates, with two screws, but what we received were snap on wall plates with no screws. While the snap on ones look good, it''s not what we ordered and it''s not what was shown in the picture.
Second, the push-in connector sockets on the back do not fit standard 12 GA house wire. They are apparently only compatible with smaller 14-gauge wire. For remodeling on houses using heavier wire, these will require that you strip, wind and screw each connection.
Finally, the connections do not work well with multiple wiring points. If you are using an outlet point with more than two similar wires, using your outlet as a junction, things will get tricky fast.
In the future, we will simply stick to a conventional, mainstream brand like Leviton. We remodeled a family room and replaced the older outlets with these modern Decora units.
