I was really disappointed and was ready to send these back when I happened to catch a review that mentioned that the mounting plate was inserted backward within the cover for packaging purposes and it needed to be turned around when installing it. I went back and reversed the mounting plate and it worked like a charm. Only problems I had were not related to the product - it was because of uneven surface of the wall it was going on. Even with that, I was able to make adjustments, untighten the actual switches to help make everything a little more flush and easier for the cover plate to snap on. These look great, professional, and really finish off the room.
