Problem is that 2 out of the 25 that I purchased were defective -- you can''t plug anything into the outlets. I know that this sounds like these are tamper-resistant outlets, which sometimes are difficult to plug in. This isn''t that. In this case, these are the non-tamper-resistance outlets -- CAR-15-WH.

There is a sheet of brown plastic directly behind the white plastic that you plug into. Both the white and the brown plastic are supposed to have holes that allow the plugs to fit through. In the case of the two defective units, there are no holes in the brown plastic, so they 100% block you from plugging into the electrical part of the outlet.

Returning the units is no problem, but the pain in the a** and expense relates to hiring the electrician to remove the two faulty outlets and replace them. The labor expense far exceeds the cost of the outlets themselves.

Buyer beware. Have your electrician check every outlet before installation to make sure you don''t have this problem. 4 people found this helpful Helpful Report G.
